Queen upholstered platform bed – A platform bed provides an easy way to save money on a bed frame. As support rests higher within the frame, it does not require a box spring. It consists of a wooden frame over the floor with small wooden slats giving the same support as a box spring. A soft bed frame has padded to protect you from three surfaces. Making your own frame is cheaper than buying one and lets you choose the colors for the finished bed. Place two pieces of particleboard side by side on a flat surface. Arrange four metal brackets down the length of the pieces, evenly spacing each staple. Place the brackets so that the metal rests evenly over the boards. Screw 1/2-inch wooden screws through the holes in each bracket. The two parts serve as a starting point for the mattress.

Hold the corner where two of the boards meet and screw a 1 1/2 inch three screw through both layers. Use four screws distributed along the guides for maximum stability. Work around the box fastens the four screws in each corner. Cover the screw heads with a small amount of wood sparkle. Cover one side of the frame with a thin layer of wood. Roll out duvet batting and push against wood. Trim off excess water with tool knife. Wrap quilted cotton wool and wood with upholstery fabric. Attach the fabric to wood with a staple gun. Place the particle board down so that the metal bracket side faces upwards. Place the three frames you just made on the top. Attach a metal L-bracket to each side of the bed frame, secure the box frame to the particleboard. Screw the wood screws through the brackets and in the woods. Turn the queen upholstered platform bed over so that the flat side of the particleboard faces upwards. Attach four remaining shelves to the top of the particleboard. Arrange the pieces so that they fit together on the surface. Screw the wood screws through the woods, distance the screws every 2 to 3 inches and cover with three sparkles.
