Twin platform bed with storage drawers is as easy to build as a double set of more traditional platform size. Not only does this accommodate older (and therefore larger) children, it is erased to almost 30 square feet of additional space. A double bed is big enough for an adult to sleep on. Although this is not a large bed compared to a queen or king size mattress, the setting of a double bed in a small room still possesses challenges. The idea is to make the most of the space so the room does not feel too small. You need to take into account other furniture in the room you will be holding and if your need for space is one of function or illusion.
Choose the corner furthest from the door. This provides an aesthetic point of view, with the bed as the focal point once you are in the room, but it is not something seen from a hallway or doorway. It also provides the maximum possible space between the door and the twin platform bed with storage drawers, enlarging the room visually. Look at the position of the windows. Ideally, the position of the bed away from a window, because being directly under the window leads to heat or cold absorption of the creation of sleep problems.
Consider other furniture in the room. Sufficient space is needed on each side of the bed for a bedside table. If you only have a bedside table, consider placing the bed in the corner, near the wall with the bedside table next to the bed on the opposite side. The positioning of the bed diagonally with the headboard crossing the far corner loses some space behind the twin platform bed with storage drawers, but allows bedside tables on each side. Place tall dressers on a solid wall in front of the bed. Place short dressers under a bed window to maximize space and balance in the room.
